The FBI has uncovered human remains in a national park in Teton, Wyoming. While the remains have not been completely identified as being those of Gabby Petito, the agency has notified her family of the discovery.
The FBI’s supervisory senior resident agent in Denver, Colorado, told CNN, “Full forensic identification has not been completed to confirm 100% that we found Gabby, but her family has been notified of this discovery.”
Gabby was reported missing by her family on September 11, 2021. Since then, her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, has been named a person of interest in Gabby’s disappearance.
Authorities in Florida are still searching for Brian Laundrie. His family has stated the last time they heard from him was Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Gabby and Brian had been traveling together across the United States, but he returned from their trip alone on September 1, 2021.
