Meghan McCain and Nicki Minaj seem like a pretty unlikely pair to be feuding, but the two opinionated ladies let it rip on Twitter after Nicki’s comments surrounding the Met Gala.
Many of Nicki’s fans tweeted at her with the expectation that she would be in attendance. Nicki shared that she had contracted COVID while prepping for the VMAs and shooting a music video. Then she shared that she is not vaccinated and didn’t plan to get vaccinated until she’d done more research on the matter.
While some were surprised by her stance, it wasn’t particularly controversial until her follow-up tweet. “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen,” she wrote.
“His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”
Meghan McCain quote-tweeted the tweet with her comment, “That’s enough internet for today.” She also replied with a longer thought.
“You have an enormous platform and have just spread unimaginable vaccine hesitancy to your fans,” Meghan wrote.
“Not only is it deeply irresponsible, it is very sad,” Meghan continued.
“I hope you talk to doctors and scientists like @ashishkjha like I did eventually. People are still dying from covid.”
“Eat [expletive] you,” Nicki tweeted in response.
Meghan was pretty surprised at the response. “I didn’t have a famous rapper losing her mind at me for not being an anti vaxxer on twitter on my 2021 bingo card, but here we are,” she wrote.
