Ree Drummond has made quite a career for herself. The blogger-turned-television-personality has 3.8 million followers on Instagram and seems to be very smart with how she manages her career. But was it her television show that inspired her to recently lose 50 pounds?
Well, not entirely. As Ree stated, she had a “rock bottom” moment one night with chips and salsa and realized she needed to start making healthier changes. She was also inspired by her daughter’s recent wedding and her husband’s recent car accident, reminding herself that it’s important to take care of yourself. While everyone needs to have a chips-and-salsa night every once in a while, it’s best not to make it too much of a habit.
One of the best things about Ree’s new diet is that she’s doing things that her fans could also easily do for free.
Instead of joining a program or starting a fad diet, Ree decided to limit her caloric intake and keep an eye on sugar. By setting boundaries for yourself, you’re bound to see improvements sooner rather than later.
She also made sure to add healthy protein to the mix and cut out alcohol.
She also added exercise to her schedule. She made sure to incorporate exercise six days a week. Even if her fans don’t own a gym membership, they can find great ways to follow her healthy habits at home for free.
“I still eat cake, I just eat a Rhode Island-sized piece,” she joked with Entertainment Tonight.
